| Shout out from LalaLAND to all my boys and girls, Hope all is well. I've started work with the gov't for almost 2 months now and am still in the process of figuring things out. Other than that, people here are pretty driven and all my superiors are machines!!! So a steep learning curve indeed, let's jus hope i don't fall too hard too soon. Other than that, Cafe de France is now opened!!! Yes... that's my mom's new project in Taipei and so yeah, the two of us are trying to fight our way through life in different parts of the world. Feedback that I've received are generally positive on that store. So all you Taipei ppl, please pay mama zhang a visit when you're free. It's on 仁愛路across from 國父紀念館. Below are some pics on the store. And yeah btw... i've changed my Chinese name to 章凱復... zhang kai fu, so ya'll better watch out. Well no more 章家鴻, but zhang is still zhang. | To all the women out there, happy anniversary!!! 聽媽媽的話, 別讓他受傷! What a way to kick start my first post of da year. It's been almost a year and a half since I got back onto this lil island. It's good news that time does fly (I'm finally gonna be done with my military service), but it's also depressing to recognize that time doesn't wait for nobody. Hopefully, I can catch up on those that I've lost in the past few months and keep trucking ahead. Although it isn't no easy feat, but neither is it impossible. Jus have to get that lazy ass out of the chair and start moving. Trully believe there's no stupid person around us, jus lazy people. Hopefully this entry will serve as a reminder to me. I'll be back. | hey hey, time for a lil update. Guess I'm in a better mood today finally! But anyway, been thinking a lot about doing some business lately. The more I read, the more I feel that I should just start early. Why go do things the conventional path, you know -- get a job, climb up the corporate ladder, then start doing something when you're like 35, 40. Why not jump start right now and use that youth vigor and audacity to your advantage. Afterall, it's much better to go broke when you're 30 than 50. At least u get some time to pick yourself back up. This doesn't mean that I won't go back to school or anything. I mean we all know that a HBS M.B.A is still worth prolly more than any other piece of certificate in this world. Anyway, that's just how I feel right now. So if anyone's interested, maybe we can sit down and have a lil' chit-chat and change lane on that expressway from rags to riches!!! maybe it's not that easy, but at least this helps me kill my time on ma lil' island haha | | |
| Wow, has it really been more than a year since my last xanga entry. But I guess time does fly and a lot has happened over the past 18mths. I'm now back in my hometown protecting my neighbors. I seriously think ppl need to learn how KK‰¹•W in this country. And maybe learn how to count first b4 jumping into calculus and all these advanced math that they pride themselves with. Afterall, it's 1, 2, 3, 4 and not 1, 2, tree, 4. Aite, I'm pretty much immuned by now, but doesn't hurt to complain again.
Anyway, I'm so stressed out lately. Partly it's b/c I feel that I'm getting mo' and mo' distant from my dreams and my passion in life. Remember all these stories that you read about how ppl have to settle jus b/c they need to kinda feed themselves, how they give up their dreams jus b/c they couldn't afford it economically. It seems like I might soon be a victim of some injustice, inflicted not by anyone else, but ppl you've known for the most of your life. But what good is a whiner in this world ruled by Darwinism. Anyway, i jus feel like venting out my anger today! Life will be all good tomorrow. Can't wait to get out of here... but when, that's really a million dollar question for me right now! | | |
| Well, haven't updated for a while. So where should I began... went back to Taiwan over the summer. Made visits to Korea and Singapore b4 coming back to the US. A couple of Japanese friends visited Chicago at different times so I've been busy showing them around, exploring parts of the city that I didn't even know existed! Anyway, saw some of you in NYC and LA, so that was fun... besides that it's jus pure ghett Chicago!!! After a year-long vacation in Tokyo, I'm once again back in this city where the black people speak like black people but most of 'em got some attitude problems. Or maybe I'm the one with issues. Well, school's hard and boring as hell, but I'm jus takin' it easy this quarter since I kinda forgot how to study!
So I finally found a place to stay after the 2nd day of school but I've been spending the past 3 weeks jus moving, setting up my room, and buying shit for the house. So that means that I've done SHIT for the past 2 weeks and on top of that, I skipped a week of school cuz I was BAO sick with this fever that came out of nowhere. Well, but it seems that things are finally coming together, and I'm ready to pull myself together. Oh, life ain't all that bad cuz my rooommate actually bought a 50" plasma for the house as a house-warming gift... so I jus stare at the screen for a few good hours everyday. It's gonna be hell when the NBA season starts cuz I think we bought league pass too on HD. And yeah, the place that I'm living at, guess who used to be living here? freakin' JALEN ROSE! haha... yeah supposedly it's feature on BET-"my pad" or sthg like that... oh well... it's jus like any normal town-house but I guess he kinda wired the whole house together so he could control everything from the living room... well that's him and we ain't got that much cash to keep up with his technology and luxurious living. I mean this guy has freakin' 5 plasmas in this place b4. That's means I've gotta find sthg to cover up the freakin' holes that he drilled in my room for one of his plasmas' GAN.
haha... well I guess that's it for me now... actually jus one thing to add... for those of you who haven't heard about Phil Jackson's new book, I encourage you to at least flip through it if you're not planning to buy. The part on SLAVA is way too funny for me haha! Aite, take carez ppl! PEACE
